Phase I: Task, Conditions, Standards
The purpose of identifying what the task, conditions and standards is to in form cadets that they must perform all the sketches and calisthenics in accordance with the FM/TC that they are given. It also informs cadets of what the environment is like that they'll be exercising in, and what additional equipment they may be using. The commands are as follows:
1. "Fall in!"
2. "At ease."
3. "Task, to conduct PT."
4. Conditions (state what environment surrounds you and what you will be using) I.e,; "During daylight hours in an outdoor environment utilizing track, field and stop watches"
5. Standards (state what FM/TC you are using.)
I.e,; "Cadets must perform all stretches and calisthenics in accordance with TC 3-22.20
FM=Field MANUAL, TC= Training Circular
Phase II; Extended Rectangular Formation is a process used to move cadets at once in order to have the proper distance to perform all stretches and calisthenics. The commands are as followed:
The purpose of performing stretches and calisthenics is to get our bodies stretched and warmed up for the upcoming events in PT. This will help so that nobody will get injured. The Commands are as followed:
5. On the last "1000", the instructor will raise and lower the inflection of their voice and the company will yell "1, zero!" Instead of saying "10".)
6. The company will stay in position of stretch they ended on. The instructor will move back into position of attention and will then yell "position of attention, move" (The company will then move to the position of attention while growling)

- "Extended to the left, march." (Company will then growl)
- "Arms downward move." (Company will then yell "Woosh!")
- "Left, face." (Company will then yell 1, 2!)
- "Extend to the left, march." (growling)
- "Arms downward move." ("Woosh!")
- "Right, face" (1, 2)
- "From the front to rear count off!" (There will be four squads. Squads 1-3 will look over their right shoulder in sequence and yell out the number of the squad they are in. While the fourth squad looks straight and yells "4".)
- "Even numbers to the left uncover." (All the even numbered squads, however many there may be, will then jump to the left to where they are in between the two people that are in front of them. While doing so they must growl.)

- "The first stretch we will do is the ______. (Company then repeats the name of the stretch two times.)
- "We will hold this stretch for 10 seconds."
- "Starting position move" (Company will then growl while moving to the starting position that the instructer is moving to.)
- "Ready, Stretch!" (PT intructor will then yell "1000". After each "1000" the company will yell out the number sequence 1-9.)
5. On the last "1000", the instructor will raise and lower the inflection of their voice and the company will yell "1, zero!" Instead of saying "10".)
6. The company will stay in position of stretch they ended on. The instructor will move back into position of attention and will then yell "position of attention, move" (The company will then move to the position of attention while growling)
Repeat the same sequence for the other stretches
- "The first exercise we will do is the _______." (Company will then repeat the name of the exercise two times.) Ex: The knee bender sir, the knee bender!"
- "The _______ is a four count exercise done at a normal cadence." (Depending on the exercise you will then change the pace.)
- "We will do 10 reparations of this exercise. I will count the cadence, you count the reparations."
- "Start position, move!" (company will the growl while moving to the starting position that the instructor is moving to.)
- "In cadence!" (Company will repeat after the instructor.) "Exercise!"
- The instructor will yell "1, 2, 3!" After the instructor says "3" the Ex: "1, 2, 3 .. 1!" .. "1, 2, 3 .. 9!"
- On the last "1, 2, 3," the instructor will raise and lower the inflection of their voice and the company will yell "halt" instead of "10". The company should then be back in the starting position they began with and should no longer be moving.
- The company will still be in position of the exercise they ended on. The instructor will move back to the position of attention and will then yell "position of attention, move!" (Company will then move to the position of attention while growling.)
- "Assemble to the right, march!" (Company will then growl aloud and dress themselves to the person to the right and also stand right directly behind the person to their front.)
